About Me
Abigail Wood was born in Laramie, Wyoming, where she danced with the University of Wyoming until moving to Texas to attend the Joffrey Ballet School Trainee Program. She has trained with Yue Yin, Peter Chu, and Flockworks at Perry Mansfield, Joseph Hernandez at Northwest Dance Project, Olivier Wevers at Whim W’him, and Sarah Cerneaux at B12 festival in recent summers. Abby takes inspiration from her family, community, and the outdoors. She received her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021 before graduating with her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Point Park University in 2023. Abby currently lives in Columbus, Ohio, where she dances professionally with the Whirlwind Dance Company as a Mover/Maker where she is eagerly exploring new choreographic projects and performing new repertoire. She looks forward to one day facilitating a space where dance collaborates with local music, business, and art to perform multimedia creations that defy boundaries and challenge expectations.
